A black or Spanish law student might get a little bit more slack because it's more likely they did not grow up knowing how to dress for a professional job (I realize this sounds horribly racist but it's not how I mean it). It's something that will pay off many times over. Spend a couple bucks on tailoring - this should not break the bank.
